Bible Study Group - Nuuksio

This blog entry is dedicated to my bible study group here in Otaniemi. Though we've only been together for about 4 months, i'm proud to say that i've felt really safe to share and learn in the group. I must admit that certainly didn't expect to have so many Christians with me from Singapore haha.. God has brought us together definitely not by chance!

Even though we always can't seem to finish the questions before Simon's handphone beeps.. haha.. i've enjoyed having tea and biscuits and also how we can feel so at ease with one another =)

The last Bible Study session that all of us will be around =)

Eugene teaching Toni the words to "Nobody" by the Wondergirls

We planned an outing to Nuuksio National Park which is actually quite nearby where i live.. it was supposed to be a bright sunny day.. but turned out to be wet and windy.. still the rain could not drench our spirits!

Kauniainen Station.. in the middle of nowhere!

And we're on our way!

Espoon Keskus bus stop

We alighted here.. in the middle of nowhere again haha

It's so exciting to be living so close to the jungle.. Finland is actually still not very urbanised.. I like that =)

Met a group of school kids along the way..

Signs to direct hikers..

Umbrellas and all =)

We took the blue diamond route..

We climbed to a small peak and the view was great =)

I'll introduce everyone slightly later!

The rain also meant nice foggy scenes..

Tobias is German!.. we were the only 2 present when this bible study group met for the first time.. =) Thanks for being so helpful and agreeing to help me store my luggage while i'm travelling!

Raindrops and Pines

Reach to the heavens!

That's the problem when you don't grow deep roots!

Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands,
Let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the LORD..

I hope to visit you, Kelli and Chan in Korea one day!! haha

Felicia! I'll remember you for being the fast food girl in Helsinki.. i always seem to be eating fast food with you! haha.. but i'm really encouraged when i read your blog coz i see a girl that really wants to seek and please God =) Happy to have met such a wonderful sister in Christ!

Simon! My cute bible study group leader.. he's British but married to a Finn and has been in Helsinki for many years now.. You're so gentle and "polite" its so funny.. =) Will remember you in my prayers.. thanks!!

These letter boxes.. let them remind us all to keep in touch even after we all go our separate ways!!

Thanks everyone.. above all i thank God for his wonderful grace.. allowing me to meet all of u in such a faraway place. I know from the bottom of my heart that though we will go back to our own lives really soon.. the love and blood of Christ is what binds us together in eternal fellowship with Him and with each other. And because of that joy fills my heart.. =) Praise God from whom all blessing flow!!

Hey guys! I'm glad to know you made a bible reading group. That is such an inspiring book and I think every one should read it at least once.
