Sightseeing Saturday

Spent the Saturday out in Helsinki City and it was truly a tiring day of walking in the cold and taking photos with painful hands. But it was really all worth it =) This was the first time we saw Helsinki in daylight. Most pics will be on facebook!

Central Railway Station

The Helsinki/Lutheran Cathedral. Probably the most representative and recognisable building in Helsinki.

The Sanctuary

Statue of Russian Tsar Alexander the II

Cute telephone booth

This can't be Rudolf, he doesn't have a red nose!

An old wooden ship converted to a cafe
(I visited the Old Market hall as well.. interesting pictures.. separate post!)

Suomenlinna
A marine fortress island built by the Swedish in the 1700s as defence against the Russians
